Organic Black Beans, Organic Pinto Beans, Organic White Beans, Organic Garlic, Organic Paprika, Organic Cumin, Organic Chipotle, Organic Onion, Organic Masa Harina [Organic White Corn Treated with Hydrated Lime], Organic Parsley, Sea Salt
Stovetop Instructions
Pre-Soak Recommended:
Pinch the bag just below the beans and pour into a large bowl. Cover with at least two inches of water above the beans and soak overnight. Soaking will reduce cook time by at least 1 hour and improve digestion.
Chili Recipe:
In a large heavy bottomed soup pot over medium high heat, add minced onion. Saute until onion is soft and translucent, about 10 minutes.
Add in 6 cups vegetable broth, package contents, and 28 ounce diced tomatoes. If desired, you may add additional veggies at this point such as corn, diced peppers, carrot, mushroom, etc.
Bring to a boil, cover, and lower to a simmer for 3-4 hours. Stir the chili every 30 minutes or so to prevent burning.
The chili is done when the beans are tender and easily mashed with the back of a wooden spoon. Towards the end of cooking time taste the chili. If desired, add salt and pepper to taste.
